ALASTAIR CLARKE - December 2010

It was with great sadness that we learnt in December that after a short battle with illness Alastair Clarke had passed away. He was an outstanding teacher who will be greatly missed by the whole Hockerill Community. Alastair had worked at Hockerill for six years, as Head of Maths and more recently in charge of student achievement; previously he was Assistant Head Teacher at Mark Hall school in Harlow. He also sat on the Government advisory panel for Gifted and Talented students.

Some weeks have passed since Mike’s untimely departure and we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have been so very kind to us during a time in which we found ourselves at our lowest ebb.
