

Rules & Guidelines
To help in the smooth running of the PE Department and for Students to gain maximum benefit from their PE lessons below are some Rules & Guidelines:
- Always make sure you know what activity you are due to do.
- Always ensure you have the correct clean and clearly labeled kit.
- Ensure you can change from your College uniform into your PE kit in 4 minutes or less. (Year 7s practice at home!!).
- Make sure you get to the correct location for your PE lesson quickly - all students must be changed and ready to go within 6 minutes (Year 7) from the end of the previous lesson (Reduced to 5 minutes from year 8).
- Bring a towel to shower with (usually needed for Rugby).
- Have a separate bag for indoor & outdoor kit and always store in lockers (NOT racks).
- Do NOT buy expensive boots or trainers.
- Ensure gum shields are moulded ready for use before the first lesson.
MEDICAL EXEMPTIONS:
- Only students who a have letter or note from parents/guardians/health Centre may miss a PE lesson - however all students should still bring their PE kit to the lesson as they may be needed to umpire/coach etc. (Obviously this will depend upon medical condition) (Notes can be written in planners (in ink) but must be signed and a contact tel. number provided in case immediate clarification by PE staff is required.)
- For ongoing medical conditions requiring a longer absence (more than 1 week’s lessons) from PE activities a full written explanation from a Doctor may be required.
