

Eddie attended Hockerill between 1999 and 2005. He played representative cricket for Hertfordshire from the age of 10 and throughout his time at Hockerill he played for every year group at Bishop's Stortford CC. He was asked to join the MCC School of Merit at Lords, and was additionally coached through the ECB and Northants. In 2007 he started a B.Sc (Hons) at Anglia Ruskin University and was selected to join the University Cricket Centre of Excellence at Fenners, Cambridge. Eddie succeeded in playing first class cricket for this MCC-supported academy until he graduated in 2010, including two tours to India, and also representing combined Universities. During this time, Eddie completed a two year probation to become a full MCC playing member, touring with them to the Middle East. In 2010, he played for Surrey 2nd XI, winning the county championship and he has undertaken an MCC Young Cricketer contract during 2011 as well as completing his second year of Minor County cricket for Hertfordshire. During 2011, Eddie competed in the Minor Counties Knock Out final, and he was also 12th man for England v India at the Lords test match. During the 2011-2012 Australian season, Eddie will spend his second year as a visiting professional playing grade cricket for Stockton and Northern District CC, where he is the Senior Coach and Club Captain.
