In 1998 Hockerill was proud to achieve specialist status as a language college

In 2006 Hockerill were invited to apply for a second specialism and we were delighted to be successful in achieving music college status.

Hockerill is a designated school for the study of the International Baccalaureate, teaching it exclusively in the Sixth Form.

In 1998, after being able to demonstrate excellence in teaching practices, we became one of the first designated training schools in the UK in partnership with the University of Nottingham.

We were awarded 'outstanding in all judgements' as a result of our OFSTED inspection in December 2007.

We successfully renewed our Investors in People accreditation in March 2004.

The DCSF International School Award is an accreditation scheme for curriculum-based international work in schools.
